Sierra County's Drug and Alcohol Department is divided into two specific categories; Treatment and Prevention.

Sierra County is fortunate to have a wide range of youth development programs designed and facilitated by young people in every school and almost every age group throughout the district. If it's Friday Night Live, youth leadership training, Red Ribbon Week activities, or DANDY the Smokeless Dragon and tobacco education, we have it. If you like to a trek through Sierra County's back country, camp on a mountain top, or spend a leisure day kayaking on one of our many pristine lakes, we have a way of putting you in contact with the young people that are doing it on that particular day.
